Use link text that clearly identifies the target of the link. Don’t use a URL for link text.
Don’t make the link text too long. Only link the main words.
Never use generic terms like ‘click here’, ‘see’, ‘more’ or ‘more information’. If someone is using a screen reader to index the links on a page, these words will be meaningless. We need to respect all our users.
Never send people to a website's homepage. Make the link specific to what you are talking about.
