Who manages the fund?
Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government
Under the Digital Restart Fund Act 2020, the Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government is responsible for controlling and managing the fund.
The Minister approves projects for funding that promote the purpose of the fund, on recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Customer Service. Before approving the payment of money, the Minister must have regard to advice from the Information and Privacy Commissioner and can have regard to any other recommendations or information that is considered relevant.
