Creating a distinctly NSW Design System

The NSW Design System is made up of User Interface design elements that combine to create patterns.

These patterns have been developed for re-use on NSW government websites; with the intention of providing an easy and consistent customer experience for all NSW residents.

Our patterns have been carefully considered and tested to meet the needs of digital creators when producing citizen-centred products and services for NSW departments and agencies. They meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines and are responsive to any screen or device.

All the patterns in this section (also often known as components) are supported by written guidance on how they behave, what they look like, and contain coded examples where possible.

It is important to us that we continue to build design elements that everyone can use.
We encourage open conversation, research, debate and/or contributions via GitHub and our Community.

The NSW Design System patterns are now available as design assets in Figma and in production ready code.
