Cybermarvel
Online safety awareness program to nurture safe and respectful digital citizens
The NSW Department of Education introduced the Cybermarvel program which aims to build staff and students’ cyber safety awareness and skills, inform parents and carers how to keep their family safe online, and encourage safe and positive online behaviours and experiences.
Achievements
Cybermarvel has already connected with 165,000 students and more than 3,500 staff and parents across Australia, guiding them to be safe, responsible and respectful online citizens.
The program celebrates Safer Internet Day in February and Cyber Security Awareness Month in October and encourages schools to promote online safety learning throughout the year.
Engagement
The Cybermarvel program is led by NSW and is a joint initiative with the VIC, TAS, ACT, SA and NT education departments.
