The NSW government has allocated 1.6 billion dollars over a three-year term to invest in digital transformation projects through The Digital Restart Fund (DRF). Of the $1.6 billion worth of funding, $240 million has been assigned to uplift cyber security maturity, a critical part of transformation.
It is managed by the Department of Customer Service and has been designed to fund iterative, multi-disciplinary approaches to planning, designing and developing digital products and services in NSW. The fund is transformative: it encourages projects that use modern methodology, focus on customer-driven business transformation and collaboration across the NSW Government Sector.
The fund is in addition to traditional funding arrangements for digital projects.
