Our long-term vision on how we see the Department of Premier and Cabinet transforming NSW:

- Premier and Cabinet organisations have embedded technologies such as artificial intelligence to efficiently deliver services to our stakeholders.

Horizon 1 (short term)
- Premier and Cabinet department organisations will adopt whole-of-government ICT architecture and standards to deliver a consistent, reliable and efficient ICT environment.
- A major component of this will be participation in the Whole of Government ERP and Shared Services program of work.
- Premier and Cabinet department organisations will continue to pursue digital initiatives, including implementation of new and enhanced customer-facing digital services (document and correspondence management, electoral systems, digital displays/archives, integrated customer journeys) to enhance citizen experience and improve organisational efficiencies.
- Premier and Cabinet department organisations will continue to focus on enhancing cybersecurity controls and incident response systems under a consistent risk management framework.
Horizon 2 (medium term)
- Premier and Cabinet department organisations will consolidate on whole-of-government ICT architecture and standards to deliver a consistent, reliable and efficient ICT environment. A major component of this will be implementation and continuous improvement in the Whole of Government ERP and Shared Services program of work.
- Premier and Cabinet department organisations will continue to implement new and enhanced customer-facing digital services, utilising emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence for correspondence, document and case management systems and augmented reality for digital displays.
- Premier and Cabinet department organisations will have embedded cybersecurity controls and incident response systems under a consistent risk management framework, compliant with NSW Government Digital Information Security Policy requirements and aligned to community expectations.
